The eightfold path is the path to enlightenment.

The person that started this religion is Siddharta Gautama. The way he learned this was by meditating under a tree. He became a monk.

What is the Eightfold Path?



The Eightfold Path is a rule for some people that want to live the proper way. If you lived this way then you would end suffering. This is really hard, even Siddarta couldn't do it.
What were the rules?


  • To know the truth
  • To intend to resist evil
  • To not say anything to hurt others
  • To respect life, property, and morality
  • To work at a job that does not injure others
  • To try to free one's mind from evil
  • To be in control of one's feelings and thoughts
  • To practice appropriate forms of concentration
